Once a month Dr. Bo and his team of five highly skilled Hoodoo practitioners work together under one roof, focusing on one person and one working at a time. Under the full moon they conjure spirits, combine carefully chosen herbs, and recite specific incantations to accomplish each client's intention. This powerful ritual practice was passed down to Dr. Bo by his oldest living Aunte and his most elevated ancestors, and it is delivered with deliberate attention and respect for tradition.
Services offered:
Hexing and justice work
Money, prosperity, and financial luck
Love, attraction, and relationship outcomes
Protection, spiritual shielding, and clearing
How it works:
Single-focus sessions: Only one client and one working are handled per ritual to maintain concentrated power and integrity.

Damiana Leaf
Overview Damiana (Turnera diffusa or Turnera aphrodisiaca) is a small shrub native to Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. The plant’s aromatic, gray-green leaves have a long history of traditional use for a variety of purposes, most notably as an herbal tonic and aphrodisiac. Damiana is available as dried leaf, tea, tincture, capsule, and extract.
Traditional Uses
Libido and sexual health: Historically used to enhance sexual desire and performance in both men and women.
Mood and nervous system support: Employed as a mild nervine to ease mild anxiety, promote a sense of well-being, and reduce mild depression.
Digestive support: Used traditionally to stimulate digestion and relieve constipation or mild gastrointestinal upset.
Respiratory and urinary complaints: Occasionally used in folk remedies for coughs and urinary issues.
Active Constituents Damiana contains a variety of phytochemicals, including:
Flavonoids (e.g., apigenin, luteolin)
Terpenes and volatile oils (e.g., cineole, pinene)
Alkaloids (trace amounts)
Cyanogenic glycosides (in small quantities) These constituents are thought to contribute to damiana’s stimulant, aphrodisiac, and mood-modulating properties, although clinical evidence is limited.
Forms and Dosage
Tea: 1–2 teaspoons (1–3 g) of dried leaf per cup of hot water; steep 5–10 minutes; 1–3 cups daily.
Tincture: Typical herbal tinctures vary; common dosing is 1–2 mL (20–40 drops) two to three times daily. Follow product-specific instructions.
Capsules/extracts: Standardized preparations vary widely; follow manufacturer dosing guidance. Start with the lower end of dosing ranges and adjust as needed. Consult a healthcare provider for individualized recommendations, especially if taking other medications.
Evidence and Efficacy Clinical research on damiana is limited and of variable quality. Some small studies and animal research suggest potential effects on sexual behavior, mild anxiolytic activity, and antispasmodic effects, but robust human clinical trials are lacking. Evidence is mostly anecdotal and based on traditional usage.
Safety and Side Effects
Common side effects: Generally well tolerated at customary doses; some users report mild gastrointestinal upset or headaches.
Toxicity: High doses or long-term use may carry risks due to trace cyanogenic glycosides and alkaloids; safety data are limited.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Use is not recommended due to insufficient safety data.
Children: Not recommended without medical supervision.
Liver: Rare reports implicate herbal products containing damiana in liver injury, but causality is unclear. Use cautiously if you have liver disease.
Interaction potential: May interact with central nervous system-active medications (e.g., sedatives, antidepressants) and with drugs metabolized by the liver. If you are on prescription medications, consult your clinician before use.
Quality and Sourcing Choose products from reputable manufacturers that provide transparency about sourcing, testing for contaminants (heavy metals, pesticides), and clear labeling of botanical identity. Organic and single-ingredient preparations reduce risk of adulteration.
Practical Tips
Brewing: Use freshly boiled water and steep covered to preserve volatile oils.
Blending: Damiana blends well with other relaxing or digestive herbs such as chamomile, peppermint, or valerian, depending on desired effects.
Storage: Store dried leaves in a cool, dark place in an airtight container to preserve aroma and potency.
When to See a Healthcare Provider Stop use and consult a healthcare professional if you experience allergic reactions, persistent gastrointestinal symptoms, jaundice, or other concerning signs. Seek medical advice before using damiana if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have liver disease, or are taking other medications.
Summary Damiana leaf is a traditionally used herbal remedy most commonly employed for mild sexual dysfunction, mood support, and digestive complaints. Scientific evidence is limited; while generally well tolerated in customary doses, caution is warranted for pregnant or nursing people, those with liver disease, children, and anyone taking other medications. Prioritize high-quality products and consult a healthcare
Chopped cinnamon sticks
What they are: Chopped cinnamon sticks are sections of cinnamon quills cut into small pieces. Unlike ground cinnamon, they retain visible fibrous structure and release flavor gradually when steeped or cooked.
Flavor and aroma: Warm, sweet-spicy, slightly woody with a lingering, tannic finish. Intensity is milder on immediate impact than ground cinnamon but provides sustained infusion.
Uses
Infusions and hot liquids: Add to mulled wine, cider, chai, hot chocolate, or simmering poaching liquid for fruit. Use larger pieces for long simmers so they’re easy to remove.
Stews, braises, and curries: Add whole or chopped sticks to savory dishes (Moroccan tagines, Indian biryanis, Mexican mole) to impart depth without powdery texture.
Syrups and preserves: Simmer with sugar and water to make cinnamon syrup; strain out pieces before bottling.
Baking: Steep in milk or cream to infuse custards, puddings, or cake batters; remove before combining. Small pieces can be added to fruit fillings for pies and tarts.
Beverage garnishes: Drop a few pieces in a teapot or punch bowl for visual appeal and ongoing flavor; they also work as rustic stirrers.
Spice blends and sachets: Include in sachets for rice, beans, or braising liquids; chop coarsely for homemade garam masala or ras el hanout and toast gently.
How to chop
Tools: Use a sharp chef’s knife on a sturdy cutting board, a heavy-duty mezzaluna, or a small hammer/mallet placed in a resealable bag for coarser pieces.
Method: Place sticks flat, slice with a rocking motion for even thin pieces. For fine chips, split sticks lengthwise then chop across. When crushing, wrap in cloth or bag and pound to avoid flying fragments.
Safety tips: Cinnamon sticks are hard and can skid; hold firmly and keep fingers clear. Use controlled pressure to prevent the knife from slipping.
Substitutions and equivalents
Ground cinnamon: Use 1/2 to 1 teaspoon ground for each 3–4 inches of cinnamon stick chopped, but note the change in texture and extraction profile.
Cassia vs. Ceylon: Most commercial cinnamon sticks are cassia—stronger, more pungent. Ceylon (true cinnamon) is milder and sweeter; use more if substituting.
Storage: Keep in an airtight container in a cool, dark, dry place. Whole or chopped sticks retain best flavor for 1–2 years; refresh by toasting briefly to release oils if stale.
Notes on quality and sourcing: Look for quills that are tightly rolled, with a uniform brown color and warm scent. Avoid sticks that are brittle, pale, or musty. Organic and single

Meet Dr. Bo
Dr. Bo was born and raised in Barwick, Georgia, grounded in the sacred spiritual traditions of the Deep South. Raised in the Baptist church, he grew up surrounded by the prayers, rituals, and ancestral ways that shaped his early understanding of the spirit world. From childhood, he lived what many now recognize as Hoodoo—long before he had a word for it.
Working with roots came naturally to him, not as something taught, but as something inherited through spirit, lineage, and instinct.
Everything he knows was carried in his blood, whispered by his ancestors, and confirmed by the power that showed up in his hands.
Dr. Bo embodies a calling that has been with him since the beginning—a divine gift rooted in tradition, shaped by spirit, and strengthened through a lifetime of walking between worlds.
